Mars
This is the only picture of Mars I have.
I found Mars dead in front of the house when I got up this morning. He was killed on the road.

I made yarn !!!
Sunday, ME and I had the honor and privilege to spend the day with Elaine who taught us how to spin. She is a great teacher and a fountain of knowledge!!! Thanks Elaine!!
She covered everything from choosing a fleece, washing it, carding, dying, spinning on the drop spindle and spinning wheel, plying, setting the twist...
So here is my first hank of yarn, spun on a spinning wheel. I loved it! Of course, it is far from being perfect! But with practice I should get better. At least, it was somewhat balanced...
Here is my second hank of yarn. It wasn't as well balanced but the pictures were also taken before setting the twist... This one was spun from a combed merino top we had bought a couple of years ago.
So now I just need to practice, practice... I don't have a spinning wheel (yet), but I do have a drop spindle that ME made for me. It spins beautifully!

Platinum
Today's pictures are from Platinum.
Les photos pour aujourd'hui sont de Platinum.
Platinum is the sister of Six Toe, Noemie and Tock (I bet you didn't see that one coming!). It is somewhat hard to get a good picture of Platinum. She is very shy. She does love to be petted, but only if you are laying in bed at night and no light is on!! (Not too practical to take a picture then...).
Platinum est la soeur de Six Toe, Noemie et Tock (je paris que vous n'avez pas vu ça venir!). C'est un peu difficile d'obtenir une bonne photo de Platinum. Elle est très timide. Pourtant elle adore les caresses, mais seulement si vous êtes au lit et qu'il n'y a pas de lumière! (Pas très pratique pour prendre une photo...).

Platinum likes giving the other cats a massage, but sometimes the others get tired of it...
Platinum aime donner des massages aux autres chats, mais parfois les autres en sont fatigués...
On a sad note, Platinum, Six Toe, Noemie and Tock are the only survivors of their litter. They also had a brother: 3D and a sister: Tick, who were both killed on the road in front of the house. There was also a seventh kitten, but being the runt he didn't live very long.
Une note triste, Platinum, Six Toe, Noemie et Tock sont les seuls survivants de leur portée. Ils avaient aussi un frère: 3D et une soeur: Tick, qui ont été tués sur la route en face de notre maison. Il y avait aussi un septième chaton, mais étant le plus petit il n'a pas vecu longtemps.

Early Christmas - Noël en avance

Yes, a blocking kit! Isn't that great! Although I wanted to try blocking wires, I didn't have it on my wish list, but Me knew exactly what to get me! I have several things that need blocking, so hopefully I will have some time this weekend to try it. But then it also means that I need to find a cat free flat surface big enough for that... that could be though! That's probably going to mean closing the guest bedroom... they are not going to like that...

Oui, un kit de bloquage! N'est-ce pas génial! Bien que je voulais des tiges de bloquage, je ne les avais pas sur ma liste de voeux, mais Me savais exactement quoi m'acheter! J'ai plusieurs choses qui ont besoin d'être bloquées, alors espèrons que j'aurai du temps ce weekend pour l'essayer. Mais cela veut aussi dire qu'il faut que je trouve une surface plane sans chat assez grande pour ça... ça pourrait etre dur! Ca va sans doute dire fermer la chambre d'amis... ils ne vont pas aimer ça...

- Today I shall introduce you to: Tock.
Aujourd'hui je vous présente: Tock.
- Tock is the sister of Six Toe and Noemie. She is somewhat shy and doesn't really like the company of other cats. But once she gets to know you she can be very friendly (if you're a human that is). She has the habit of disappearing for several days, then she comes home disgruntle and starving... and wanting lots of love... and sleeping on the bed on the wool blanket...
Tock est la soeur de Six Toe et Noemie. Elle est un peu timide et n'aime pas vraiment la compagnie d'autres chats. Mais une fois qu'elle vous connait elle peut être très amicale (si vous êtes humain bien sur). Elle a l'habitude de disparaitre pour plusieurs jours, puis elle revient a la maison pas très contente et affamée et voulant beaucoup d'amour... et elle dort sur le lit sur la couverture en laine...
- Hum, she doesn't look too happy there...
Heu, elle n'a pas l'air très contente là...
- Maybe some love will fix that...
Peut-être qu'un peut d'amour va arranger ceci...

Noemie
Today's "victim" is ... Noemie!
- Noemie is the sister of Six Toe (see yesterday).
- Like her brother, Noemie likes to snuggle in Me's arms (yes, same cardigan, but although not inside it):
