Christmas in May? - Noël en May?

Basil and Abner's Critter Charity Drive

Rebekah started the Basil and Abner's Critter Charity Drive (you can read the details on her blog).  This reminded me that a couple of months ago I wrote a pattern for a crocheted mouse which made a perfect cat toy.  I have added the instructions to my free pattern list on the right side.

How to wind a hank of yarn into a ball in a few easy steps

You will need the following equipment: The hank of yarn you want to wind, A couch to sit on, A ball winder (optional, you can also do it by hand), A coffee table in front of couch (if you are using a ball winder), Protective clothing, Soap and water, Iodine, Lots of bandaids of various sizes. Five days in paradise - Cinq jours au paradis

Yep, I think that's a good way to sum up last week!  ME and I spent the week at The Mannings learning how to weave.  May 20 is our anniversary and this year we wanted to do something different.  Since we are both interested in weaving, we figured that taking the week long beginning weaving class would be great.  And it was!  We learned a lot (although I don't think that ME learnt as much as I did since he already knew more about weaving than I did) and had a lot of fun.Everybody there was very nice.  Our... My three sheep - Mes trois moutons

Yes, that's right, I now have three sheep... well, only their fleece!  All three were acquired at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival on Saturday, where I really had a good time.Oui, c'est vrai, j'ai maintenant trois moutons... bien c'est-à-dire, seulement leur toisons!  Toutes trois furent acquisent au Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival Samedi, ou j'ai vraiment passé du bon temps.
