Cobweb ?

I put my lace flyer to the test.  I had some clean Shetland fleece so that's what I used.  I sent it through the drum carder and got a very nice cloud of fluff.  I then spun it and since I don't like knitting with 1-ply yarn, I plied it.  This is what I got:
J'ai essayé mon épinglier dentelle.  J'avais de la toison Shetland propre alors c'est ce que j'ai utilisé.  Je l'ai envoyé dans la cardeuse et j'ai obtenu un très beau nuage touffu.  Ensuite je l'ai filée et puisque je n'aime pas tricoter avec des laines à 1 brin, je l'ai retordu.  Voici ce que j'ai obtenu:

As I was getting ready to take the picture, I mentioned that I was going to include a pencil for scale, so Luther (the cow) volunteered to help.  Not exactely what I had in mind, but how could I reject Luther's help?
Lorsque je m'apprêtais à prendre la photo, j'ai mentioné que j'allais y inclure un crayon pour échelle, alors Luther (la vache) s'est porté volontaire pour aider.  Ce n'est pas exactement ce que j'avais en tête, mais comment aurais-je pu rejetter l'aide de Luther?

Luther has my small 2-ply skein around his neck.  I got 110 yds (99 m) for 11 g, or 900 m/100g.  I was amazed...  At the top of the pencil, you can see my left over single which is about 10 yds (9 m) and 0.5 g.  I can't imagine what I could get by selecting the finest parts of the fleece and carefully preparing the fiber before spinning !  I wasn't even trying to get that fine !  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it...
Luther a mon petit écheveau à 2 brins autour du cou.  J'ai obtenu 99 m pour 11 g, soit 900m/100g.  J'étais étonnée...  En haut du crayon vous pouvez voir les restes de mon brin qui fait environs 9 m pour 0.5g.  Je n'arrive pas à imaginer ce que je pourrais obtenir en selectionnant les parties de la toison les plus fines et en préparant les fibres avec soin avant filage !  Et je n'essayais même pas de faire si fin !  Je ne sais pas encore ce que je vais faire avec...

I have done more spinning, but I can't talk about it yet.  I am participating in a skein exchange through the French speaking spinning forum, so it has to remain secret until Valentin's day.
J'ai fait d'autre filage, mais je ne peux pas encore en parler.  Je participe à un échange d'écheveaux avec le forum du filage, alors ça doit rester secret jusqu'à la Saint Valentin.

Whaouh, tu as fait très fin, te reste plus qu'à te tricoter un châle arachnéen ! Luther est bien mignon, ça ne fait que rajouter au charme de ta Cobweb.

Effectivement refuser l'aide de Luther aurait été malvenue il est si mignon
