Tock came home!

Yes, Tock came home last night!!  She was “talking” a lot, growling at everybody, attacking anything that moved… and sometimes that didn’t move, she ate two cans of food… in short, the normal Tock!  She swiped at Noemie who was just walking by and Noemie turned around and attacked Apollo who, for once, was just sitting there and not doing anything!  He was definitely surprised!  She spent the night inside and slept in the bed.  Emily and Noemie were also inside.  Everybody is doing fine.  M&M... Yarn !

My order from Bergère de France arrived on Tuesday!  I’m glad I got some of the Cotonature.  It feels nice and soft; reminds me of terry cloth although it doesn’t look like it.  I am going to make myself a summer top with it.

The maple tree is gone :(

Well, Me arrived Friday evening as planned.  We ate at our favorite Italian restaurant before coming home.  We got home to find out that the maple tree to the east of the house was down.  It broke at the base.  There must have been some pretty strong wind because another tree further up the road also came down and the entire neighborhood was without electricity.  The good thing is that the tree fell away from the house, and not on the house!  The bad thing is that the tree took the power line that feeds... It's Friday!!

Finally Friday is here!!  Not much happened this week.  We got more rain on Wednesday, which is good for the garden (except that the weeds like it too).  This morning was very foggy.  Me is coming home tonight and I am picking him up at the station around 5:30 pm.

Introduction: Fall 2004

I guess I forgot to mention that sometime in 2003 Snicker Jr. appeared.  We named her Snicker Jr. because she looks very like Snicker.  We thought that she was a male, until she started putting on weight very quickly... So Snicker Jr. had four kittens in September 2004.  As off this Spring (2005) only two of them have been seen: Mars: mostly tiger striped, with some white.  Mars reminds me of Bob. M&M: white with some big tiger striped spots. In November 2004, two cats were brought in by some... [Lire la suite]

Introduction: Spring 2004, the birth of Apollo

Twenty-Five had eight kittens on August 4, 2004.  She had them under the bench which is on our kitchen porch.  She eventually moved them inside the workshop.  They were all black and white and except for one, they all had more black than white.  They were all male. The problem is that Twenty-Five disapeared on August 21, 2004, leaving eight two-week old orphans.  We don't know what happened to her, maybe the fox got her.  So I rescued the kittens and took them to the vet.  One had to be put to... Introduction: Summer and Fall 2003

Well, we slowly trapped and had those cats fixed, but before we could do everybody, Stacy had more kittens in August 2003.  She had a total of seven then, but one died on September 2003.  The others are: Tick: female (spayed), tiger striped.  Sadly Tick was hit by a car and died on 02/24/04. 3D: male (neutered), white with spot.  His name comes from "Third Dalmatian".  Sadly 3D was hit by a car and died on 07/19/04. Tock: female (spayed), tiger striped.  Tock has her own personality,... [Lire la suite]

Introduction: Spring 2003

Of course all those cats had kittens in the spring... Tiger had some kittens in April 2003.  We don't know which ones. Pat also had some kittens in April 2003.  We know that she is the mother of Gladys and Cletus.Gladys: female (now spayed), all white except for her tail and the top of her head which are striped.Cletus: male (now neutered), white with some grey spots (like a dalmatian). He killed Lucie on 12/25/04. Stacy had five kittens in April 2003, but a little tiger striped one died in May 2003.Oscar: male,... [Lire la suite]

Introduction: In the Beginning...

No, I am not going to write the Bible...  I am just going to start with the cats that were on the farm when we moved in (Fall 2002). Winty: male, white with striped spots.  We haven't seen him in months. Snicker Sr.: Black and White.  We haven't seen him in months either. Robin: red striped and white.  Has not been seen in months. Tiger: female (now spayed) dark tiger striped.  She is still around. Pat: female (now spayed) tiger striped and white.  She is still around. Stacy: female (now... [Lire la suite]

First Night and Second Day

This is going to be tough to come up with titles!!! I had to stay late at work last night to make up the time since I came in late in the morning.  The good thing about this was that traffic wasn't too bad leaving work.Toni and Luther insisted on riding in my knitting bag.  They said that the yarn in it should protect them in case of impact (I don't think they trust my driving...) All the "children" were seen last night except for Number 5.  Noemie seems to be doing better, she ate some chicken and some... [Lire la suite]
